Apulian oil: why choose it?
It's a question rarely asked because "Made in Puglia" has become synonymous with proven excellence. Expanses of olive trees, vineyards, and almond trees stretching across the plain to the shores of the Adriatic Sea – this is the "Paradise of Oil." Every drop is precious to the Apulian people, encapsulating a world of inimitable flavors. A slice of bread is all it takes to savor the intense aroma of extra virgin olive oil, nothing more! This is the magic that only a special product can create, transforming the simplicity of a dish into a moment of true taste.
Even in these few lines, we answer the question, but if we were to focus on the product's quality, then it's essential to tell you more.
Apulian Olive Trees
The olive tree is a "sacred plant" that finds its fullest expression in the landscapes of the Murgia. There are ancient olive trees, true monuments of nature to be protected and preserved, as they represent the balance of these places, where dry stone walls run along cultivated olive groves, interspersed with fields, masserias (farmhouses), and typical Mediterranean vegetation. Puglia boasts over 60 million olive trees, of which 15 million are over a hundred years old. The region is divided into nine districts, varying in microclimate, average number of olive trees per hectare, productivity, and cultivar varieties.
Authenticity of EVOO
Puglia, along with Calabria and Sicily, produces about 85% of all national olive oil production. Various associations guarantee the authenticity of Apulian oil: an oil that, from the olive grove to the oil mill, right through to bottling, must be produced within the territorial boundaries of the region. One of our company's primary needs is to preserve Apulian tradition, enabling Italian and foreign consumers to identify and recognize the product's characteristics, with a guarantee of origin and wholesomeness.
We aim to be ambassadors of taste and quality not only nationally but also beyond our borders.
Puglia's "liquid gold" is a unique sensory experience, and our oil proves it—try it to believe it.
